Co-author of Around the World in 80 Dinners Joanna Savill knows a thing or two about travelling for food!

Joanna is an experienced communicator in the food space – as a longtime journalist, editor and broadcaster but also in the crazy world of marketing and events where she spends most of her time these days. She is a committed advocate for food producers, women in the hospitality industry and all those who work towards a better food future.

Joanna was the longest-serving editor and senior reviewer at the prestigious The Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide. She has also co-authored 10 editions of The SBS Eating Guides to Sydney and Melbourne, and co-created, hosted and produced The Food Lovers’ Guide to Australia TV series.

She has worked with some of the biggest names on the global food landscape – with 20+ years’ national and international media experience and 10+ years curating and heading up extraordinary events and festivals.
